Abstract

Abstract: The paper examines the need to transform the traditionally conservative educational system in response to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into all spheres of human activity. The current situation in Bulgaria is analyzed, highlighting practical examples of digitalization such as the "Digital Backpack" platform and the "Strong Start" project in preschool education. The text contrasts optimistic forecasts for personalized and adaptive learning with the risks of dehumanization, loss of social contact, and the erosion of the social-emotional aspect of learning. A primary focus is placed on higher education, where a rethinking of curricula is proposed through the introduction of mandatory courses on AI application across all specialties, not just technical ones. The objective is to prepare specialists capable of using AI as a tool for management and decision-making within their specific professional fields.
