The present article examines induced guilt in family dynamics as a possible psychological predisposition in sdulthood. A teoretical model is proposed in which the recurrent use of guilt as a means of psychological control may hinder autonomy, personal boundary formation, and the differentiation between personal responsibility and the emotional reactions of others. The internalization of such relational patterns may sustain excessive responsibility, dependence on approval, and anxiety- based self- regulation. Under certain conditions, anxiety may become focused on the body through heightened self- monitoring, catastrophic interpretation of bodily sensations, and reassurance-seeking. The proposed model does not establish a direct causal relationship and requires further empirical examination.
